HellYeah I play a steel-string acoustic guitar. I am into fingerstyle if this is what you mean? I follow some awesome talented guitar players on youtube and try to play some of their covers.

    For example:
    Link1
    Link2
    Link3
    Link4
    Link5

I have some more fav players out there, but I think this shows the music and style I am interested in playing atm on my guitar. I am not fixing myself to one genre, though.

If I like a song, I am searching for tabs, either on youtube, or google, etc. And if it is some classical, rock, pop, medieval, etc. or for example even a theme of a tv series is secondary, because it is the song in that particular moment i really enjoy listening to. Makes sense? think so

My routine is fortunately not „time-fixed“ if you get my drift, because we all know, sometimes life happens, right. Therefore my daily goal is just to play the guitar, either to replay a song I already are familiar with, or try a new one. Or just training some special fingerstyle technique like drumming, slapping, etc. I think you know what I mean. If I play 5, 10, 15, or even 30 or more minutes does not matter at this point, my main goal is that I play at least once a day and to have some fun.

So far, it works. Lets see how long and how far ... The year already started, though.

What about you? How are you going to make a habit out of it? Do you also play an acoustic one?

I promised my husband (and myself) that i would learn to play this year. He, and all 7 of our kids, play, and he has taught a free beginning guitar class at our church for 7 or 8 years now. He gave me a very nice one for Christmas.

            Damn more youtube...

I play guitar on and of for 30y now, but I never got really dedicated, especially after my time in school when I had lessons. First on classic acoustic guitar, but "campfire style" learning chords, finger picking patterns and a bit of theory... later e-guitar lessons from older pupils, both metal heads. ---> solos, distortion, etc... followed by playing my favourite Punk rock tunes, trying to play in a band... a few years ago, inspired by Frank Turner, my favourite singer/songwriter i bought a steel string acoustic and tried to play his sings, but he has hard chords and rhythms... in short, a diverse history with different guitar/styles...

Atm I either play for my kids or am going through my old tabs/songs and play, if there is time. I want to play chords changes properly again first, focusing on rhythm guitar... before goiing on with fingerstyle picking/solos.
I followed "justin guitar" lessons for a while and have two of his books, they might get my guideline lessons again.

HellYeah there will always be more youtube channels ... Justin guitar is really great. I followed him too. His youtube channel accompanied me a long time to get back into habits as I found my old guitar on the attic some years ago.
I have a dream: A Darebee summer-festival, you rocking on the stage and I serving food and beverages

I'd love a camp fire with music and dancing and food!

                                I completely second that.
My guitar playing and my singing are somewhat limited, but what I lack in technique, I can make up for in volume.
