It surprisingly is! The warmth you feel, when you step out is much better, than the cold, when you had a hot shower.
    Two days for me now!

See I like a bit of a cold shower or cold plunge after a sauna or steam or what have you (or at the last spa I went to it was ice to chuck over yourself). Or at the beach on a red hot day in Southern Spain. But I can't imagine doing it in everyday life, especially in winter - I spend far too much time outside in the cold already and my house is never that warm. I have friends who like swimming in the North sea from our closest beaches in winter though.

I liked todays Darebee-recipe. No-Meat-Burger - Nice. I´ve put the recipe on my list for the next time I have some fungi in my shopping-bag.

The rest of the workout was some kind of: "business as usual"

Nothing else to report. Now I have to finish the book and see who the next pope will be ...

Enjoy your evening my bees - see you on the morrow

do you happen to know of a series of books similar to Ready Player One?

i have to share that as i was wondering if i should ask you for book recommendation, the image in my head was of approaching an Oracle-like orangutan to ask for a reading.

daejamurrachan nice imagination - I like it

now to your question: oh boy ... very difficult indeed, because "Ready Player One" is quite unique - there is really nothing I know about which covers all the book stands for. I think you need to be more precise ... well, because in Ready Player One you have many things combined, like:

"MMO, computer games, pop culture of the 80´s, virtual reality, dystopian future but also nostalgia, quest stories, etc."

I therefore don´t know any book which covers everything there is ... so it is very hard for me to recommend you a good alternative ...

But perhaps you want to take a closer look at:

                    1. Lock In series by John Scalzi
                    2. Enders Game series by Orson Scott
                    3. Reamde by Neal Stephenson
                    4. Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collings
                    5. Red Rising series by Pierce Brown
                    6. The Three Body Problem series by Liu Cixien

All of the books have some aspect of Ready Player One but are nonetheless really far away from Ready Player One if you get my drift, because none of them covers every aspect, it is just too unique ... so choose wisely my young Padawan and if you find something different, let us know and share your knowledge I hope I could help you in this matter.

                    No-Sugar-Challenge Day 70
                    warm-up
                    IronBorn - Day 21
                    cold-shower-day 52
                    Meditation Day 48
                    Yoga with Adriene 11 / 30
                    cool-down

Workout felt so nice today. I really like the sessions with Adriene, great warm-up routine.

Then followed by the IronBorn program, cold-shower and meditation well, what shall I say, the perfect thing to calm down after work and the chores at home and to start the "me-time"

Tomorrow will be a bit tight, but I think I will definitely have time for the meditation and the shower, if the rest fits into my shedule well, we will see I guess.

Keep up your great work my bees.

time is tight today, therefore only the minimum. Meditation after breakfast and before work was a good decision and a great start into the day. After work we will have a nice evening with a friend and sushi

Wish you all a great start into the weekend

EDIT: I totally failed at quoting, but this is in response to the conversation in the preceding page

Yes, I agree. More people living in a conscientious (did I spell that right?) way would be good, because there is so much despair around. I keep having perfectly nice, intelligent and kind people telling me stuff like "people are mean, you have to be mean and selfish to survive", etc etc and it's just depressing. I try to show by example that being nice and being a victim are not one and the same. Now the chivalric code from the 14th century might not bear the most desirable advice, but just like with religious texts, you can take it and use it as an inspiration rather than as dogma.

And if you get inspired, you can inspire those around you

alleycat I am so sorry but I have to quote Terry Pratchett

“I believe you find life such a problem because you think there are good people and bad people. You're wrong, of course. There are, always and only, the bad people, but some of them are on opposite sides.” Lord Vetinari, Guards, Guards

I had too, it was right there. But I agree with you 100 percent
