You are right! Definitely not good enough! But a few years back we had none neither ... at least not in my vicinity (it is first regional before it spreads!) Its a new style which has to establish itself. The people are always sceptical about new things and struggle to adopt new stuff ... but t will come in the end!

Don´t know, but in Germany you can observe the trend to less-plastic (at least in some areas and aspects) ... for example: even some great stores don´t give you plastic-bags anymore or let you pay for it (to make it unattractive for the customer - because, who wants to pay for the bags?)

in the meantime: always look on the bright side of life: just visit Devon from time to time (only 114 miles from Cardiff) ... then you can experience the atmosphere of a zero-waste-store and replenish some food at home. Or make it easy in your own vicinity: bring your own bags and cans - speak with the people - most of them are openminded and don´t bite ... unless you want it

I actually think that sounds like fun, but, I am a crazy person. You'd need a recumbent bike tho so you could carry enough baggage on it to be worthwhile.

Colin You can really be happy to have me - a non-real-"librarian" and therefore I can proof you wrong The bulk-app-says: Cardiff has at least one store were you can (not all of their offer, but a great part) buy waste-free! The store is called. "Jo´s Organic Stores" perhaps you know it?

There is an app were you can just search for a town, and you get results where to find potential waste-free-stores, even in the UK Just check for example London, there you will find many results! Here is the Link: Bulk-App

Now that we found Jo´s I think you can save the trip with the bike, unless you want it or maybe visit London, there you have a bigger selection of products - only 151 miles from Cardiff
