From time to time I really enjoy those workouts (with bokkens, etc.), but normally they are not my cup of tea ... I like it more "basic" if you get my drift. And then sooo many in a row today. I think Buzz is lying ...

Today we are starting "Barbarians" on Netflix. And therefore we made some roman food for todays dinner. "Moretum" and "Vitallian Peas". Not that much of a food-porn-picture, but it was really tasty and definitely something to repeat in the future. Therefore I wanted to share this delicacy. Espeacially when served with fresh baked bread it is a dream come true.

I quite enjoyed all those bokken workouts in our old flat. With ceiling heights of 3.5m and more, it was fun. But in our "new" flat, we have sometimes only barely the 2 metres, so no more bokken workouts for me...

How's the Cicero biography? That could be something for me (so als alter Lateiner... ).

Knirin the ceiling height is one matter ... about Cicero. Long story short: highly recommendable. It is very multifaceted. And I really enjoy the approach of the author in this matter. Because he let Cicero speak for his self at crucial points, through quotations of his own found in his writings, letters to friends and family, etc.. That gives this book quite the perosnality and draws a picture of Cicero the "man", his character, motivations, feelings, fears, wishes and beliefs, etc. if you get my drift. This is some kind of "reread" for me, therefore I allready know the style of the book and I can give you an answer to your question still at the beginning of this reading.

If you like Cicero - the trilogy by Robert Harris is also quite the exciting and fascinating read.
