    Thank you, Colin!

    Wednesday, 24th February (cont'd):
    I can & I will, Level 3 w/ EC (WOD)

    Thursday, 25th February:
    Reboot, Day 2, Level 1
    Power Grip Challenge, Day 2

Phew, Reboot definitely feels harder than expected at first glance... But so far it is doable, if I get up on time (unlike today...), so I'll stick with it for the moment.

Hi there, what's up? No, I haven't vanished, but I've been in a very "blah mood" (thanks sleep_twitch for that fitting term) and definitely not motivated at all in the last days. *sighs Not even repeatedly reading Damers articles on motivation helped.

But, despite all the complaining, I at least haven't stopped everything, there were some (often very small) workouts done since my last post.

          Monday, 1st March:
          Power Grip Challenge, Day 4
          DD (40 Reverse Lunges)

          Tuesday, 2nd March:
          Totals, Day 1
          DD (2 min Overhead Clench/Unclench)

After 4 days without a "real" workout, I at least did the first day of Totals and I think, I should do that more often.

          Wednesday, 3rd March:
          Totals, Day 2
          Reboot, Day 4, Level 1
          Power Grip Challenge, Day 5

Totals done as a workout/warmup in the morning. Doing jumping jacks and high knees throughout the day is not really an option, I prefer not wearing a sports bra all day long. And no, doing those without it is definitely a no-go.

          Thursday, 4th March:
          Power Grip Challenge, Day 6

Had a doctor's appointment in the afternoon that made me very anxious all day long.

          Friday, 5th March:
          Baby Steps, Level 3
          Power Grip Challenge, Day 7

          Tuesday, 9th March:
          Totals, Day 3
          Power Grip Challenge, Day 8
          Totals, Day 4

Two days of Totals in the afternoon and evening, a bit in the mode of "one set after every read blog article or email". Worked quite nicely and my shoulders and wrists hate me today after those push-ups. Yes, they were knee push-ups, but hey, I did them in sets of 10! Not too bad in my opinion.

          Wednesday, 10th March:
          1-minute HIIT, Day 1, Level 3
          Power Grip Challenge, Day 9

First day in those 1.5 weeks that I didn't use the snooze button or just stay in bed. Yay! And that left me with more than enough time for a workout in the morning and it feels so good! Decided to kick out Reboot, it just doesn't work for me, the sets feel way too long and sometimes way too difficult. But luckily, Darebee is amazing and has a new HIIT program (love you guys!). Somehow that currently suits me best, I don't need to count anything (my brain still does, but I don't HAVE to). Let's see if I get to keep that newly found motivation.

81 DD done, 68 with EC.

Knirin keeping going, especially when we don't feel like it is what delivers in the end. I have a friend I used to train with back when I was competing. He was really, really good. I spoke to him recently. He hasn't trained since the year 2000. We stopped competitions at the same time. He's 50lbs overweight and is now thinking of getting back into fitness. The difference between him and I was that in my darkest days, when I really did feel like stopping and just not training, I would remind myself of what it'd cost me to get to the point I had. The effort, time and a fair amount of personal sacrifice when I'd train rather than socialize or sleep. Losing that by giving up always felt, to me, like I'd just quit. Quitting and losing my skills was something that seemed incredibly wasteful to me. So, that kept me plugging away even when my heart wasn't in it. You need to find your cost/reward balance. Accept that there will always be days when you will do the bare minimum and that is perfectly fine. Then there will also be days when you'd feel untouchable. An amazing, physical machine. And those too are good.

Damer I like the cost/reward balance as a way to explain it.
