Might be small, but dangerous... ;)

    Hi all,
    newbie here! :-)
Well, by coincidence, I found Darebee on Monday and started with the Foundation program on Tuesday.

A little bit about me: I'm 28 years old, female, living in Germany. I've always loved books and hated PE at school. Additionally, all that girly stuff has never been my world. The color pink? Dancing? Romance books and films? Oh no, please go away! I grew up with James Bond movies and all the Bud Spencer and Terence Hill ones (thanks, Dad!).
Well, after school, I studied Technical Management and found for the first time a sport that I enjoyed quite a lot, Badminton! Ok, honestly, it took me nearly a year until I enjoyed it really... But then I moved to a different part of Germany and wasn't really able to locate another Badminton club that fit my preferences. So I did nothing... and then started Martial Arts (Zen Sen Jitsu or in German Allkampf-Jitsu). I'm thoroughly enjoying it still, after now nearly 1.5 years. Additionally, I got my driver's license for motorbikes. Some friend mentioned not long ago that I must be „the wild one“ as I do all that... not really.

In between all that, I also did some running for a season or went to a gym for 2 months or did some strength training... nothing for very long, either I wasn't „able“ to make time or I got bored quickly.
That's the reason why I started on here – at least the first Foundation workouts don't take up a lot of time and I won't get bored that easily as it's not the same routine every day.
The other reason for starting to work out is that I realized that I need more strength, more endurance, more muscles. Once for martial arts, to keep up with the guys especially now that I'm continuing the way up the graduation-ladder. And for riding my motorbike – the more confident I get and the longer or trips get, the more I realize that I definitely need to be in a better shape to keep up with everybody for riding whole days in the beautiful Alps.
So I just started on Tuesday, motivation is still here, even though I'm working out first thing in the morning (that's the time of day where I can plan with best)!

Sorry for the long rambling (if anybody is even reading that ). Back to work with the Foundation program tomorrow morning.

Tuesday I started the Foundation program - for fitness and also in a try to make a habit out of working out in the morning. I'm not really a morning person and I definitely hate the alarm going of at 5:35 am...

But despite all that, at 5:45 am on Tuesday, I did Day 1 of Foundation on Level I. It was ok, not too bad, but I was huffing and puffing at the end of the third set... Cardio and endurance have never been my strength...

Wednesday, 5:45 am: Day 2 of Foundation. Not too bad either at Level I. Seems like I should think about stepping up to Level II... In the office, I realized later in the day that I feel the squats and lunges from the morning in my quads...

But... Wednesday is training for martial arts, so I knew that more would come in the evening.

          Thanks for the welcome, neilarey!

Martial arts training yesterday was... quite hard. I went home feeling somewhat sore and I woke up this morning definitely having some big DOMS (not really delayed...). Decided to do Day 4 of Foundation today and Day 3 tomorrow, to not overdo it. The stretches this morning were quite nice, they loosened some of the muscles. Other than that, I hate walking down the stairs today... (my colleagues are laughing).

              Thanks, Gee.

Did the switched up Day 3 of Foundation this morning. Love the punches and kicks!
I'm still motivated to do this - I'm getting up a lot easier after my alarm goes off. I hope it will stay that way. Especially now that the weekend is coming up...

Foundation Day 5 done yesterday. No problem - as I nearly always get up before my boyfriend does, I had my room to myself. The first set has been a bit slower than the next two as I needed to coordinate all those different movements...

Day 6 has been done today, including today's Daily Dare. Perfect for this late summer day spent in the sun.

Day 7 of Foundation done yesterday. As always on Level 1, but I was thinking about doing Level 2. Well, at 5:45 am, I was thinking about it, but quite happy with "only" doing Level 1.

Today, Day 8. Done despite feeling bored by the stretching routine and feeling tired.

Woohoo, one week of daily excercise is done!

Day 9 is done, too. But, really? Fast Pace Cardio? Felt more like a shoulder workout with all those jack-variations... And after that the Daily Dare - I'll probably get a visit of DOMS soon.

Day 10 done, too! And that despite being in a small hotel room and my boyfriend lying in bed and making comments. ;-)

Well, well,... Day 11 has been done on Friday, including the Daily Dare.

And then... well, then I ate something (I don't know what) in the afternoon that definitely upset my stomach. Had some "nice" alone time with the toilet in the hotel room... And definitely no working out for me since then.
Today's the first day I'm feeling more or less normal again - so time to continue before I slack off too much!

Day 12 is done - I'll definitely get back to doing that in the morning. In the evening, like today, my body and brain are just too awake and don't want to do anything...
