I don't like to post other sites, and I'll add that this is not from personal experience as I'm not strong enough to do pull ups yet - though that's part of the plan! - but Al Kavadlo is a pull-up specialist.

He has a YouTube channel and a website and gives quite a lot of specialist advice about them.

      Thanks for your help guys!

HellYeah Yes, they're work superb, but I guess I want something more.
I like the bar idea, it would fit my house porch. I might one day ask for blueprints.
BTW nice workstation you have there, I'm pretty sure that it was really helpful while hanging that bar.

xingyiquan I would add rows and dips, but it'd be problematic with my current "setup" (I don't really have a place to do them).
About proportions, mine are completely f****d up (or maybe it's not that bad).
Well this beam is old and rusted and I have no idea how much it's really supporting this ceiling. I'd prefer not manipulate it any way (drilling and stuff).

Colin I'll definitely check his channel. I'm sure that soon you'll be doing pull-ups like you'd never did anything else.

You really hooked me with these rings idea. As soon as I figure where and how to mount them I'll start saving money.

        Done today:

Let's Meditate App Wanderlust (14 mins)

Working in a long sleeve shirt and thick trousers in a +30 degrees C (brushcutter/trimmer) isn't my dream job. Today I just couldn't find enough energy to do my workout. Maybe tomorrow I'll plan my day better, or I'll have less work...

        Good night/day bees!

I'll make some better pictures when I am at home.

Basicly it is a 6cm wooden bar. It is that big, cause it is increasing the open hand grip strength.

If you wanna have a grip around the bar, I recommend 3cm or 4cm. Use hard wood for enough stability, I used beech.

Matan rings are the key... mine are hung on a tree, I guess you might find one in a farm
I would not spend more than 30.... in the meanwhile you can tinker some ok ones using some stick (broken spade wooden part or other rags from tools are perfect) cut them about a little bit more than your palm size. Drill a screw with a head like a ring on both sides. Take some rope ( 2 identical lengths, one for each handle ) tie together and throw above any tree fork... you are good to go for less than 1 euro and in 10 minutes if you are really slow (even if you sand the handles )

xingyiquan That's a pretty good idea, but I already modified it a bit. "Rings" you suggested with rope "handles" (it would look kinda like bicycle u-lock), and this would be mounted to ratchet transport straps. It's a basic idea for adjustable homemade "rings".
And honestly I don't trust tree branches, but it would perfectly fit my house porch.

                Done today:

                Pull-Ups 6-5-3-2-1
                It wasn't bad.

                Archer/Standard Squats 5/5-5/5-16-15-14-13-12
I definitely felt it in my thighs.

Back & Core Day 19: Core Control

Let's Meditate App Chakra Mist (10 mins)
I can't remember last time when I was relaxed that much.

I guess it really looked like I did kinda gave up, last few weeks were pretty tough. But every time I look in a mirror it motivates me. I really want to get rid of that fatty blob called belly. The plan is to finish Back & Core and start doing some cardio (I still have programs on my "to do list") and of course still progress with "Xingyiquan plan".

                Good night/day bees!

That was the easiest but please feel free to better it. Your idea is a great one and would look like oldtime rings of the turn of the century!

                    Done today:

                    Ouch!

                    Leg Raises 12-11-10-9-7
                    Ouch again.

Because why not. I had lots of spare time today.
                    Challenging one...

                        Done today:

                        Push-Ups 13-12-11-10-9
I failed. I barely did 8th rep of last set, but I had to rest before last rep. My arms didn't want hold my weight anymore.

                        Leg Raises 12-11-10-9-8

Back & Core Day 22: Stabilization

OK, I had a lot of work today (more than usual), and I was already quite tired before my workout, last night I slept only ~6 hours. I'll try to do this again on Sunday (hopefully I'll have less work and more strength).

                        Good night/day bees!

Matan, I think that even though you had a hard time with the last set of your push-ups, in my mind you still succeeded just because you still made it a set and did 4 sets before that one

                          Good job.

My new piece of equipment. Old spade handle hung on two pieces of old (but still very strong) firehose.
I won't be able to move my arms tomorrow, I'm doing close grip chin ups all the time, it's just too much fun.
