Oh yes, the joy of wearing your own knitted items! I've been walking to work in my hat and mitts sets with a nice thick cowl snuggled up past my nose every morning - if I must leave home early I will stay cosy!

Glad to hear the knee is doing well Fab work

Indeed Lyra_H_W Nothing like a hat or mitts right your size, in exactly the right color, and with true warm wool !

I knew you live in Paris, but I didn't know you had a gig in fashion on the side.

I reached the goal for steps (6 days out of 7), but not or meditation (will probably not do it this afternoon, too many stuff to do).

Additional rant - you will forgive me, but ... grrr.
I wanted to try find a dress - a nice one, for going out to Opera with friends , and such. And maybe one or two nice pieces for the office. However, with my size (petite), it is ... hard. Very hard. A bit before Christmas I tried a few shops, found nothing - just cheapy, silly looking things. This afternoon I had hoped I'd find something on a website that had been previously kind to me , with petite sizes ... Nada. Nothing. Cheap, old, or silly looking. And there I go on a new merry-go-round of loathing this body of mine, and how to try to look nice / professional / even whatever ... Sigh. Not even losing that weight and toning this body is making it easier for me. Some days I wish I could just put on a nun's garb and be done with it - no more trying to chose between losing options.

Sorry as it is a rand no one can help me with , really, but this spoiled the end of my WE, and at least I can get it off my chest here.

It's not you. It's the fashion industry.
Your body is awesome and strong.
The fashion industry is selfish and short-sighted for failing to design to meet the needs of the full spectrum of awesome human bodies.

In Paris, center of fashion, how can one not find clothing one wants in just about any size, but most especially petite?

Shopping for clothes just sucks...PERIOD! No real body fits in a standardized fit....we are all unique and different!

I know I am really nearly an outlier on the body size scale, with 4 feet 8 inches / 1m42, but... that does not help much. You know, wjs , curiously, I had less trouble finding clothes in the US, as there are those "petite" brands and sizes that do not seem to exist in Europe! It's crazy, as , seriously, I know of other women who would enjoy petite sizing a lot, but it doesn't seem to exist. I was nearly tempted to buy online from my favorite petite US brand, but if it is not quite right / I finally do not like it (never know , when buying online), it is too pricey to risk not being able to send it back.

Or I change completely jobs and open a retail shop for petite women, right in the heart of Paris. Including skinny minnies and well endowed ones. Yeah, how is that for reconversion?!

In the meantime, I tried the cognitive behavior therapy tools I know, but just could not find any effective counter-statement... I really have to dare approach this with my psychiatrist next time we meet.
