Thanks a lot for your kind words, sleep_twitch , wjs and MissMolly . Right now I am reading "the artist's way" by Julia Cameron and it is giving me ideas for a creativity routine... which is completely in line with what you lot are saying. I like her approach, now will have to see if it fits me!

Yesterday I did Epic five day 13, 2*10 side-lying butt bridges with ten sec hold, warrior III, 2*10 regular bridges, 30 reverse crunches, lower back yoga, and meditation. Step count 7,249 steps. (Monday's step count was 11,066 steps).

358 consecutive days of exercise. Some badge change is coming

Not failure, PSW! Crikey! That's a great start. I hope you go back to it when you have a bit more time.

      Busy, busy, busy!

And you've kept your amazing streak going! Wow!

      Fantastique!

colinclean , thanks so much for the kind words. As a matter of fact, it made me want to find some regular time for writing / creativity, so it is a start, not a stop, indeed.

Yesterday I did Epic five day 14, 2*10 one legged bridges with ten sec hold, warrior III,(crunches included in workout), shoulder and neck yoga, and meditation. I finished the day with a gym session - 5 mins of threadmill to warm up, and then 2 weight circuits (increasing the weights. DOMS today are telling me it was a good workout). Step count 10,581 steps.

        359 consecutive days of exercise.

TheLibrarian , I may have explained it on the meditation thread, but definitly never here. To start, my background is that I learned meditation at my yoga school in Buffalo (ran by the Himalayan institute), and did some meditation retreats with them, and with another yoga group in Colorado. I try to focus (ha!) on regularity rather than length. My goal is to do it 6 times a week. For the practical side, I most often do 8 minutes (using the "insight timer" timer, I like the gongs, and the sea background noise) starting with alternate nostril breathing, then just focus on my breath and the mantra I was given wayyyyyy back when I was living in Buffalo. Other options are some of the "insight timer" meditations - between 7 and 12 mins roughly, generally focusing on breath, chakras, or loving kindness meditation (specially if someone at work has been getting under my skin, to still have the right attitude, LOL).
And for position, I use a low bench (with legs tucked under), or if I am not home, the easy pose with a medium-ish cushion under my bottom.

Yesterday I did Epic five day 15, 2*10 side-lying hip bridges with ten sec hold, warrior III, 30 reverse crunches, lower back yoga, and meditation. I finished the day with the crossfit-like class at the gym. Step count 11,881 steps.

            360 consecutive days of exercise.

Wait, I know you have been in US, but where are you actually from? Where were you born? Just a curiosity thing. Feel free not to answer/ignore.

You're welcome, TheLibrarian . aveoturbo , I am French - born in France, raised in France. My ancestry (I do genealogy, so it is more than hearsay, LOL, I have it pretty solidly done down to the 18th century, and some branches in the 17th) is mostly French (and 3/4 Bretonne), with a dash of English and a smattering of Italian Jew to complete .

My grand-dad worked for the French government in Morocco and Algeria back then, though, so basically Dad grew up in Morocco and Algeria ; and dad's first work promotion led him to Spain, where he and my mom (and my two older bros) spent 7 years. All of dad's siblings traveled and lived abroad - Africa, Polynesia, US and Canada mostly (two of my uncles still live in Canada). So, travelling, and even going abroad for work a few years, was absolutely natural for me.

Friday I did 15 mins restorative yoga, meditation, and walked 11,870 steps.
Saturday I did Epic 5 Day 16, meditation, and walked 17,797 steps - not a typo, but I walked around with a visiting American friend to show him some less classical parts of Paris, well, my Paris.
Today I did Epic 5 Day 17, meditation, and 11,158 steps.

                  363 consecutive days of exercise.

Week-end is coming to an end, so rest well and prepare in a relaxed way for next week, dear bees! Hugs to all!

Only nine sheep? Or is that only nine sheep in Wales, because Scotland hoards them all?
