      Done yesterday :
      Walking : 16 min
Running : 30 min, 3,5 km. Not my best run. The weather was so cold that my legs muscles never became warm.
      Walking : 15 min
      (6,54 km in total)

I hope that I'll do more workout today. I really want the Fitmas turning badge.
running in the cold simply SUCKS... don't worry about performance under these conditions, no one runs well when it is bitter cold, it just serves building stamina... It is like putting money in the bank, never fun but useful

When I was running so slowly I thought about spring and said to myself : "If I can run when cold with my legs like wood weighted with lead, I"ll be able to run so fast in the spring that I'll can call that "flying"

        Done today :
        Snowfight : 14 burpees, nice warm-up for
Walking with my dog : 17 min
        Running : 30 min, 3,6 km
Walking with my dog : 15 min
        (5,85 km in total)

        Micro HIIT : day 19
        5 min plank challenge : day 4
        Advent calendar : day 19

I forgot to list my arms challenge : 10 skullcrushers, 2,3 kg dumbbells, 6 sets/25'' rest (each arm)
I'll stay stuck to 10 reps for a while, the last set is really hard.

Unsolicited advice about the Five Minute Plank Challenge: Go as long as you can early, and try to build up, because otherwise, you're going to get to the point where your body says "No" before you get to the allotted time. A lesson I learned doing the (other) Plank Challenge.

I read that in your thread and I thought to do it in another way : I'll stay on the same amount of time until it becomes comfortable (if a lapse of time holding elbow plank can be called "comfortable" ) I'm afraid, if I do the challenge like you, that my arms could say "no" faster than if I follow the program with some stops.

That would be the question, wouldn't it? And yeah, I kinda just jumped right at it this time around. I don't recommend bouncing all over the place with your times like I have, that's for certain. Your plan seems like it should be effective, so, you know, whatever works, right?

An interesting article about runners' brains (original research article here)

                    In addition for yesterday :

Fitmas : day 5, L1 (planks, planks, planks...)
5 min plank challenge : day 5 ( wjs , I think I'll stay at 45 sec tomorrow. It was hard today, maybe because of the Fitmas planks)
                    Advent calendar : day 20
My arms challenge : 10 Zottman curls, 4 kg dumbbells, 6 sets/25'' rest (each arm)

I don't blame you for that. I always have a difficult time with other planks after planking, especially since I do challenges first, and often before knowing what exactly is coming for the day in everything else.

                          Done yesterday night :
WQ : 20 min meditation (meditation is part of my daily routine, I have no merit)

                          Done this morning :
                          Snowfight : 24 burpees (I had 51 to do, but... )
                          Walking : 16' 30'', 1,55 km
                          Running : 20', 2,38 km
                          Walking : 11' 15'', 1 km
                          Running : 10' , 1,21 km
                          Walking : 19' 30'', 1,72 km
I couldn't do the 30' running in one go

With 20 minutes meditation, you do have merit, do not sell yourself short, wolf friend Seriously, this WQ makes me want to re-integrate meditation as part of my daily routine. Maybe I should note it down in my daily log to motivate me, after new year!

What do you mean by "I have no merit"?

As to the running, you still did well, and still did thirty minutes of running, so what if it wasn't in one go? It's still way more than not doing any running at all. It's like my planking this month, only the last few days have I been consistent, every day before that, I was all over the place. It doesn't diminish the 4:30 planks I've done the last few days, or the five minute plank two and a half weeks ago (already been that long!?!). You're getting there, just like I am. It takes time, and everyone is here cheering you on.

PetiteSheWolf and wjs , I don't, because I meditate for years now and meditation is my reward at the end of the day.
