Good job Louve rose! Louve rose, inbetween can I ask you what you did not like in Combat HIIT?
I personally really liked this program because of the videos and also because it was perfect while I was in vacation

Maybe it is a nice program when done with 5 kg ankle and wrist weights.
Like I said in my previous post, I didn't get the "HIIT effect" : no sweat, no strain, no tiredness. I liked the "ballet" effect on some days, with the sequence of moves, yet.
Mr. Octopus I cannot say I totally dislike it. Some days are fun, but some were just too repetitive for my taste – 15 rounds of 3 exercises repeated over and over, not even with any kind of filler...and for me following the videos turned out to be counterproductive in the long run: instead of concentrating on my form and doing the exercises to the best of my capabilities, I sometimes went too fast and sometimes too slow – just to do it at the same pace as Damer. Today I only used the timer with the beeps (adjusting it and skipping rest time) and it was better. I also had the impression that most of the time it was too easy – and yet I managed to further strain my knee (I think because of the repetitiveness). So in my case it's as I said mixed feelings, not that I dislike it but not my favourite program either. But I do not intend to criticise the program, these are just my personal impressions. I know many of you enjoyed it a lot! Maybe if I hadn't had this small problem with my knee and could have breezed through it like Louve rose I would be more fond of it? As you know I got back to it so I'll see how I like it now I'll keep you updated!
In any case, congratulations for completing the program are still in order, Louve rose!
I noticed that you completed a lot of days at level 3 with no rest. And, well, I did Combat HIIT (and the Fighter's Codex before that), and I often cut down on rest time, but never completely. And I usually felt I had been working out (even though it wasn't very hard, it still felt like a proper workout)
So, I don't know. Maybe the program would have been more effective if you had more experience with combat moves and were able to put more power in your strikes. But I may be completely wrong here...
Or maybe you are right...
I felt my legs and arms muscles but when I do other HIIT workouts I sweat and my heart beat rises. With Combat HIIT almost nothing happened.
Redline , after thinking about it, I felt this program more lke an endurance program than a HIIT one.
About the power in my strikes : imagination helps a lot. I put a lot more (but not enough to feel this HIIT effect, thus) than usually because just before I begin there was a rape on the path where I run, and I promise you that if the rapist had been in front of me when I did the program he would had no more **** nor teeth.
To be honest I had a similar motivation to learn and practice some combat moves (not exactly the same, I just want to get some self defense skills...) so I will definitely do some more combat programs and workouts. Apparently you have to get those moves "under your skin", make them automatic reflexes... Once a girl I knew from another forum (she's learning karate) had a small accident, she stumbled over a rope while standing on a 1-meter high ramp. She fell and while falling down she felt how her body unconsciously adopted a position she had learned during her karate classes and... nothing happened to her. She didn't even get a smallest bump or bruise. She was really amazed at how her body responded automatically, without any conscious decision. I know I won't be able to learn a lot without a live teacher and real life classes, but since they are not possible right now, I would like to learn whatever is doable in my situation
I'm sorry you didn't like it. I really enjoyed it, but for some reason I really like combat moves. Maybe just because I'd never really done anything like it before Darebee. I'm planning to do Fighter's Codex soon, too!
I like combat moves too and I really believe that for me Fighter's Codex will be funnier and with more "HIIT effect" than Combat HIIT. I just re-read the text for the two programs and they said "This program is ideal for anyone who is looking to increase their speed and endurance" for Combat HIIT (indeed, endurance is what I felt - not bad, but not what I was looking for) and "It is a high intensity workout regimen" for FC thus I hope that this one will meet what I search more than C HIIT.
