Today should be the last day for The long run, with a 40 min run, but the weather is cold here : -5° C, and the temperature will hardly rise above 0° today. Maybe I'll wait tomorrow to run those 40 min.

Still -1° C, no running today.

Think of the cold as motivation to run to keep warm.

I ran 15 min yesterday and I felt the cold air going inside my lungs as if it was ice blocks. I'm afraid to get some respiratory sickness.

OK, I will grant you that. Sick is not what anyone needs. However, good job on running for even 15 minutes yesterday, and I hope you get the chance to finish The Long Run soon.

I hope so too ! Tomorrow should be less cold.

(I know the bees are watching me. I don't dare not finish the program )

I know the feeling, and it's exactly why I started a training log.

In winter all runners face delays due to weather! You will finish it, don't worry!!!

Are we still starting Micro HIIT on Thursday? I am willing to do so, I hope you too!

Maybe I didn't choose the right time of the year to begin running.

I was asking myself the same question, but I think any time is good to start anything Otherwise we can keep postponing things ad infinitum We proved ourselves that we can and we like to run. When spring comes, we will dive again into it, with so much pleasure!

OK, so the day after tomorrow our burpees adventure begins
                          Good night!

Spring is too rainy, summer is too hot, autumn is too windy and winter is too cold. OK, you are right.

This morning... colder than yesterday, but sunny and no wind.

Me : Maybe could I try those 40 min running ?
The other me : Yes, nice idea !
Me : But I don't own specific clothes to run in the winter.
                              T.O.M. : Let's take a look in your wardrobe
Me : Ok, but we'll find nothing
Tom : What's this ? Knitted tights ? You can wear them under your jeans. And this ? A hat ?
                              Me : Yes, but a tassel hat ! I can't run wearing that !
Tom : Why not ? This is a hat, isn't it ? And you have sweaters and a jacket.
Me : Ok, you win. I'll make a try.

Thus, I put the tights, socks, pant, one sweater, another sweater, my running shoies, the jacket, the hat and the gloves on, I took some dates in my pocket and walked to the path where I run.

                              On the path :
Me : The leaves are so nice with those frozen edges. What if I stop running and take a picture ?
                              Tom : No. YOU RUN.
Me : Oh ! Look at this pond with sun and a little mist, it seems to be golden dust. I could stop and take a picture ?
Tom : No way. YOU RUN.
Me : This old fallen trunk is beautiful. I'll take only one picture and after that I'll continue to run.
Tom : NO NO NO. YOU RUN !!!
Me : I'm halfway. I want to stop.
                              Tom : No. You run.
Me : 30 minutes. This is my comfortable PR.
Tom : Nice ! Now you go ahead till your uncomfortable PR.
                              Me : That's it. 35 minutes. I can't continue. I'm short of breath.
Tom : Don't you have dates in your pocket ? Eat one. (thank you, Mr. Octopus )
                              Me : Done.
Tom : Ok. Now you run 1 more minute.
                              Tom : One more.
                              Tom : One more
                              Tom : One more
                              Tom : One more
                              Me : Yes !!! I did it ! I ran 40 minutes !!! (and I learned that my brain is a tricky stuff )
