I used almond butter!! I'm not a big peanut butter fan unless it's just peanut butter and grape jelly sandwiches...I thought an almond flavor would be delicious with the raspberry jam and orange marmalade I bought I'd never had almond butter either, the kind I got is "all natural" and it's kind of...blah on it's own but that's what you get for no sugar/artificial additives I guess.
mogster all the recipes recommend baking them, and then toasting them, so I figured they would keep until today They smelled delicious coming out of the oven though!!
I did bake them in the oven instead of using the microwave. Kind of neat you can make them in the ramekin and then cook them in 1-2 minutes but microwaved "bread" sounded kinda...yuck to me.
Well...all together, sliced and toasted, slathered with butter and sugar free raspberry jam? The texture of the muffins themselves? Not bread . It was denser than I was expecting, and kind of mealy. I'm sure that's the lack of gluten. The picture on the recipe I shared showed the larger "holes" or air pockets you see with English muffins. The recipe she links to from that blog post, where she makes 4 and bakes them, the picture looks more like what I ended up with (no air pockets) so despite what I said, I might try microwaving them next. Overall, so-so to passable.
Strength Day 1
For the sake of science, a.k.a. curious raccoon, I did level one reps, EIGHT sets, to equal total reps for level two. Ouch. So much ouch. One minute rests to make up some time, 21 minutes total but lady, if you were trying to teach me a lesson, it worked. Rests, too short. Time it took me to figure out lunge step ups too long. Nope.
I feel like a villain now. but actually that point goes to you. I'm probably just doing lunge step-Ups faster.
I really think you're a squat machine. I took seven minutes of rest to your eight, it only took me an extra minute or two. But I do squats so methodically and I know you just bust them out to get them over with.

Leg days are basically cardio days for me. I'm out of breath before my legs are out of power. If only squats weren't so annoying, I'd rather take my time

Ever since you told me that, I try now and then to do them really fast. It's not pretty
Strength Day 2
Bought rings and a bracket to mount them in the floor joists of the basement. So that was the preworkout for today (yaaaayy procrastination...) after that, abs, back and biceps. Part one, level two. Part two, 7-5-5 inverted rows to failure I loved it!!! I have no way to tell you what angle my body was at, only where my feet were on the mat so my failure might decrease if I make them harder, but I was really happy with today. And I know how the rows went when I used the bar on the weight bench so after 30 days I'll have a decent benchmark.
Strength Day 3
Pushups and punches, level two with 1 lb wrist weights because I can't imagine punching without them anymore...this day was awesome and I so wasn't feeling it but, yes. Happy.
Had a horrible, awful, no good day at work. Did the math in my head. Can't afford to quit yet. Grabbed my laptop and practically ran, ten minutes to five, told my boss I wasn't done but I was DONE. Tomorrow will be a better day but tonight's workout went a long way towards making me feel better which is awesome, because initially I was really dreading the obligation.
