General Update:

I've been doing very short walks. Never have made it to the Doctor (overslept usually or partner had migraine so no driver available unless I take a cab). I'll just have to look at my insurance page and pick a new doctor. Having an appointment that I know is set will give me the drive to actually go.
Part of the reason my walks have been so short though is we got a dog on Thursday! She's 11 years old and a beagle/pug cross (a puggle I guess she's called). So far she's incredibly tolerant of my children and is starting to get along with my cat. She has a sore on her paw that we need to get vetted and I want veterinarian advice for how long/far she should be going before increasing walk distance. It's better this way than getting one of the puppies they had at the shelter. One) I'm not going from doggy zero-sixty with a new baby and Two) She needed a home; she'd been there for months. (Long enough that her adoption fee was actually sponsored so...)

Dec 1st Day 1/15
30 mins WiiFit followed by Day one of Advent Calendar. I was surprised by my ability to do the flutter kicks. Pleasantly; especially with a beagle mix crawling all over me. I'll do the same today (Dec 2) with WiiFit and then the Advent Calendar. I've found that working out in the afternoon keeps the afternoon munchies away so far; plus gives me a hit of feel-good chemicals to combat my afternoon lows. So I'll keep that up for a few weeks to see if it holds true. (I was trying to workout in the morning but I am a morning person so it didn't change my mood much at all)

20ish minutes of Belly Dancing (I so did not do as much as the person in the video; but hey; not bad for a first day)

I am still about. Health wise I'm mostly working on getting my food in order. I'm trying to eat mindfully instead of logging every calorie. We'll see how that pans out (following the Modern Hero meal plan mostly). My baby was sick in December and flipped her sleep schedule so right now I'm working on flipping everyone back so I can work out again. I'll start posting more then.

30 min walk today with kidlets while playing Pokemon Go and Wizards Unite.
Day 1 of Foundation Light. I made myself do Level 1 because I don't want to set myself up for failure for later days.
I've lost 15lbs since March. This is good. I've started being much stricter in my portion control. Honestly I'm currently counting calories as what I Think is a serving size with x number of calories is anything but. So. Calorie counting and weighing/measuring food will happen until I can accurately estimate what I'm eating by eye.

Currently annoyed with my Doctor as I asked for an allergy test to see if I am allergic to dairy as I'd been told. I am not; which is good but my allergy markers came back with a slight count toward chicken. He said it might be a false positive but that I can cut out chicken if I want to. No suggestion of seeing an allergist to verify if it was a false positive (and there are allergists in my insurance network). However; all my cholesterol, thyroid and blood sugar levels are currently good which means that all I'm dealing with physically from my weight is some joint pain that should be reversible as I lose fat and build muscle. (I'm going to start weight lifting in about twenty pounds). It also means that there shouldn't be anything medical keeping me from losing the weight I want to. And hopefully the regular exercise will cut me down from having migraines 1/3-1/2 of the month. So yeah; Arisha Nomad Beginning Again Again Again.

It's good to be back. This time around I'm putting a lot less pressure on myself to maintain streaks and it seems to be working out!

Random workouts past couple days. My muscles are complaining a bit so today will be light.

I did Day one of Baseline with my six year old and two year old today. My oldest does not understand the concept of slow reps. My youngest is... well a toddler so that went as expected.



I've been working with a Dietician since February as in late December I was diagnosed with a gastrointestinal disorder and when I went to the Dr he said it was okay that in my effort to avoid trigger foods I was eating less than 1,000 calories a day. (I'm 5'7" or about 170 cm). Considering losing weight too quickly can cause other health issues I wasn't particularly motivated to follow his recommendations.

So I found a Dietician and now I'm back weight wise to where I was before I moved to this state which is a start. I'm nervous about gaining again but that's why I got a Dietician since as my check-in logs prove I needed an outside influence to help me figure things out. (And honestly with tracking trigger foods plus the Pandemic I've found that my best bet is cooking everything so that's pretty much what I've been doing. I've been eating so much hummus )

Day two of Baseline. My six year old asked his dad to join us so he did. I was a little surprised honestly. It went okay though my knees weren't thrilled with the sit-to-stands. So I'm glad I started with this program. Get things stronger.

Day three of baseline. Went well. I've been having chest pains again which is annoying. (nothing abnormal for me. I'm prone to rib pain; it is in the muscles surrounding my ribs and not like a medical emergency so don't worry). I need to find a heated vest. I think that would help with the pain. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the workout helped with the pain some today. I was expecting the arm circles to pull on it weird and make it worse. It's entirely possible that I'm tensing while I sleep and just tightening everything up.

Day four of Baseline. I love step jacks so this one went very well. Surprisingly well since I have a bit of a migraine. I found a trigger food last night. Well sort of did. It was either the light cool whip I was testing as a sub for ice cream (I have the occasional sweet tooth so am finding less sugary options). Or it was the roasted asparagus. I really hope it wasn't the asparagus. I like having more vegetable options since there are so many I can't eat anymore. (Bell peppers, tomatoes, raw kale, raw spinach, basically any textured greens or ones that have a drying effect like spinach does...)

Day five of Baseline. No knee pain from sit-to-stands this time! I count that as a win.
