    I lately have been cooking my chicken with a mayo made up from avocado 🪔 oil and it has been Coming out great. I've been trying to keep the dinners at night quick and simple. So lots of salmon, 🐟, avocado chicken ,eggs and cheeses with some 🥦 cauliflower and spinach for some sides or stir fried.

        Tonight I made a really good chicken, avocado and feta cheese salad with fresh spinach. It was easy to make, and fueled me up for my bedtime exscersises .

        Tommorow night I'm going to try Chicken, cucumber and feta salad with some chopped up pistachios and olive oil avocado dressing.

        I'm playing around with salads this week Since last week was all about soup broth and homemade stews

        I did however try out the homemade bone broth with my bone in chicken and it was really really Delicious.

          it depends on what type of composting you are doing. there are certain systems of composting that will allow you to compost bones https://bovees.com/can-you-compost-b...ost%20tumbler. this post talks about it more traditional compost is a huge no no since they dont get hot enough for the bones. If your cheap and rather make the compost on your own and let nature take its course do not add anything from meat or dairy from what i understand.

            Who doesn't?
            Snert as the Dutch call it.
            Get some (500g) dried (split) peas from the local Asia.shop. Nobody else seems to cater dried peas nowadays.
            Rinse it like white rice and let 'em soak overnight.
            The next day get some ham or gammon (~500g will do) and boil it with a celery stick, a carrot and an onion. (or whatever soup veggies rock your boat, Parsnips?!) in enough water to cover the whole affair for about 3 hours.
            That should give you a nice ham-broth.
            Now take another onion and a carrot and dice them. Brown in a nice chunk of butter and add the peas. Give them some whirlarounds till everybody is on the same page and coated nicely with fat, then add the broth. Cook until the peas break down or your patience runs out.
            If you are not as tough as a handful of peas, yeah go ahead, get that stick blender and finish them off. (OMG I watched one too many Adrien Brody movies last night).
            Shred some ham and add to the soup, that should have `spoon stands tall in it` consistency by now. Check the seasoning and off you go walking the Liverpool beat with Martin Freeman.

              Andi64 Here I can buy big cans of French Canadian split pea soup either with ham or not. It's cheap but very good and you can always add what you fancy, veg or meat.

                  Besides,it is an easy soup to make, I think. roast your veggies (and eventual ham / bacon), cook your split peas in a good broth, and toward the end add the grilled veggies mix. Purée. Enjoy

                    This month I am doing a.30 day cleanse from added sugar and only consuming natural low sugar foods.

                    Also I am taking out breads, rice, Starbucks 😭 pasta, tacos , sushi, you know all the good stuff
                    Yesterday night I had 1/2 pound of ground beef with a bunch of chopped up collard greens with salt and pepper and a pinch of garlic. Stir fried it up with some hot sauce. And added bacon grease for taste. very Delicious. Cook🍴🥗🍲🥘

                        thinman Well i'd like to loose 20 pounds this year and keep it off. I can have it ony cheat days you know once on a blue 🌚. And it's also part of self discipline that I'm working on as well. As much as I love sandwiches, pastas, chili's, and sushi, as well as Sugar filled coffees there not that good for me And gluten seems to take forever for my body to digest leaving me feeling way to full and looking bloated to where I look like I'm 6 months pregnant. I may have a gluten allergy honestly I've.never gone to the doctor or anything but on the future I may want to see a health practitioner on a few things... In the mean time One day at a time

                          I eat normal all the time although did go 100% vegan for 6 months. I ate a lot when I was working manual labour but now retired eat much less. My wife eats very small and walks/hikes everyday for a couple of hours, belongs to such groups and days she's not with her friends we do a nature path.

                            Nature walks are great. Me and my family enjoy taking nature walks and going hiking or visiting a warm springs.

                              I have a whole cookbook for you!

                              The Moosewood Restaurant does a lot of vegetarian cookbooks - but there's one in particular I've been using for years. It's called the "Moosewood Daily Special", and is nothing but soups and salads. They call it the "daily special" because in the restaurant they always have a couple of soups of the day and a couple salads of the day, and their "lunch special" is a cup of whatever soup-of-the-day you want and a small plate of whatever salad-of-the-day you want as a combo.

                              They have about 200 recipes in there, with some main-dish-level soups and/or salads and some good for just side servings, and some chilled soups and warm salads, some dairy/cream soups, and some fish/seafood salads and soups. They have things that would work with practically every cuisine, diet, and cooking experience level.

                              I got it to use up some of the haul from a VERY, VERY active CSA I belong to. I'd pick a couple soups and a couple salads at the beginning of the week and make them and they'd chill out in the fridge, and then during the week "dinner" or "packing my bag lunch for work" was as simple as "open the fridge and grab a serving of something". If I was especially hungry I'd add a baked chicken leg or something.

                                Sometimes for something quick I cube some firm tofu and stir fry with some chopped spinach then add a packet of Japanese chewy noodles that just need a little heat, there's two kinds in me supermarket, the thicker white noodle or the spaghetti light yellow which I prefer. A bit of Bisto's instant gravy granules or soy sauce and that's it.
