I don't want to be that person, but apparently a lot of people these days think that we need, indeed, new terms for things that were once deemed to be the normal.

I'm basically 'flexitarian', too, but actually like to call myself part-time vegetarian (I'm joking, by the way).

I just eat normal but notice TV advertising getting into flexitarian terminology, just marketing I guess.

I mean, the standard recommended diet is just that. Keep the meat and animal products, but on low quantities, eat mainly vegetables, legumes and fruit, quit on sugar and try to eat plant protein instead of animal one most of the time.

I have been calling that "mediterranean diet" my whole life.

    Flexitarian

Seems like in Canada there's a trend for the flexitarian diet, basically advising people to eat a lot less meat and following a flexitarian diet plan. I have been vegan and vegetarian, flexitarian seems like a good plan.
