            Reviving my food log
            I'm changing my food log a bit. The main goal is to have healthy dinners, because that's the struggle when I come home tired after work. So I will mainly post my dinner, exept when I eat something exceptional as breakfast or lunch.
            There are a few things want to keep up with:
            - vegetables, preferably at least 200g
            - variation in carbs (rice, pasta, potatoes)
            - variation in proteins (chicken, red meat, vegetarian)

            Summary last month
            There are a few meals I want to share with you from last month, not all of them most healthy, but definitely very delicious

            Easter breakfast, home made chocolate croissants and easter bread with almond paste in it and butter on top.

            Lasagne , I bought a beautiful oven dish to make lasagne. It cost me 3 years to find one that's not too big (because I live on my own, and I don't want to eat lasagne only when people are coming over for dinner), but high enough to make more layers. I made it with a lot of vegetables, whole grain lasagne sheets, bechamel sauce between each layer, cheese on top.

              Tuesday May 19th
              Dinner
              I am breaking my resolutions right away I forgot to add some carbs to the soup. Despite that, it sure is delicious. And I have enough to eat it also tomorrow

              ▪️ fresh parsley (I forgot how much I like parsley)

                Carrots are starchy. Can they count as your carb? (Only about half as much carb by weight as a potato. But it's not no carb.)

                You've some yummy looking creations here, as always.

                  Rainbow Dragon hadn't think about that, but it makes sense. I calculated the carbs and it was enough (in combination with my other meals) to get my carb target. Thanks for your input!

                          Pretty much same dinner as yesterday, but with a yellow paprika instead of a red one, and with a tripel Belgian beer instead of a blonde one (I'm not sure what's the proper English term, Pale Ale?)

                            Okay, I have to catch up for over a week. And some confessions about really bad eating habits..

                            Didn't eat dinner, just Ben&Jerry's

                            Sunday May 24th
                            ▪️ Ate a lot of cake and apple cookies..

                            ▪️ Canned pea soup

                            Monday May 25th
                            Pizza salami, mozzarella, pesto

                            Tuesday May 26th
                            First healthy dinner this week. For the first time I followed the recipe and baked the cherry tomatoes for 10 minutes making them soft. But I didn't like it, I like them more when they have their original consistence, so next time I will only warm them up.

                                Chickpea soup without chickpeas.... I was making the soup and at the moment that I should add the chickpeas, they were nowhere to be found. I think I left them at the counter at the store... I didn't have lentils anymore at home. And the store was already closed (4 minutes exactly..). So ate it without the chickpeas.
