Do I need to Warming Up before stretching?

As title says, is important? For example in the morning or rest days where I want to do only stretching?

I'd say it's best to warm up first. Think of your muscles as something like butter. If you take it out of the fridge, it's hard and simply won't spread; let it warm up a bit, and everything's good.

Stretching after a hot shower or bath also seems to work well for me!

always do a warm up before stretching. Its taught in all sports with court/field/diamond sports you run a certain amount of laps with cross country you do a light run around the perimeter of the school property then after a few stretches we actually did some other warm ups like butt kicks and high knees plus arm circles and torso twists to make sure we were completely warmed up and stretched out (warm up took about half a hour and the captains had to make sure the team was warming up)

Depends what you mean about stretching, in Yoga practice you only go to your edge and never force anything.

to me thosse are stretches jumping jacks, march steps are warm ups those are stretches that you do while warming up to see if your warm up enough never go to point of pain just to point of stretch. if you know your stretch range after warm up and you havet made it to that range continue with the warm up til your at that range
