    Gender options

Hello all! First, I would like to say I was happy to see that profile edition allowed us to pick non-binary as a gender - it's non at all a common option in fitness communities (my previous coach was absolutely confused), so this was joyful: I felt seen and respected. Thank you.

Now, I'd like to point out that having transgender as a separate option from man, woman and non-binary is othering: trans is an adjective that goes in front of these three options, like cisgender. It would be more inclusive to have man, woman, non-binary, and other as options (the last one being for people who don't identify with the first three). Trans men and trans women, like cis men and cis women, already fit in the category of men and women. If there are other trans bees in the hive your opinions are welcome, I don't want to impose my pov if this doesn't resonate with most people touched by the issue on this platform.

For the organizers (@neilarey maybe?), I will specify that I frequently work as a D&I consultant and specialize in LGBTQIA+ topics - not offering my services here but just advice if it is welcome.

Thank you for your attention and this marvelous community.

Thank you so much Okojo for adding this here. We have had quite a few internal discussions, as you can imagine, on how to prevent "othering". We will take this on board and as you say we'd love to hear what trans bees think about this change. Would it work better in terms of feeling included? Please add your voice to this thread.
