    How high "high knees"?

    Good afternoon all!
In various workouts, when this exercise is present, description states "knees at 90°"... Though, I have found that if I do this, I lose speed and work less cardio... But when I bring them a little lower, I do more and work my aerobic system more...
Is there that a big of a difference?
I would like to hear your thoughts.
    .
    TIA

If the knees are low, it becomes run in place
Seriously, it is true that if the knees are high it decreases the speed but keeping them high all the time is a lot of effort and makes the exercise much more difficult.

Fremen I thought they were somehow the same...
But do high knees burn as many calories? What are the long term benefits? When will I stop asking so many questions???

High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) Benefits
High knees are there in all HIIT workouts so the benefits are those and you sure burn more than running on the spot
