    Sternum pain

I used to have a bit of it when I used to do dips using the rings. I remember I completely stopped exercises by mid of February; ever since, I started to feel pain in my sternum. A month before, I wanted to get back to my old routine, I tried to do a single dip, but the pain was so unbearable.

Yesterday, I did some normal push ups, I felt no pain, but when I tried to do Pseudo-planche push up, I felt the same pain.

I have found some videos on youtube, watched a couple of them, but I wanted to know if anyone has faced the same problem.

    thank you!

    Hi Musical gym

I sometimes have it, when I do too many classic push ups per day. I remember last time I did 270 and it was burning a lot I think the bone is just overloaded with the weight and starts to make a problems.

If you feel the burn when you can not breathe and it lasts like for example 1 hour or 2 till it goes away, then it's a nerve which got squeezed somewhere in the chest area.
Wrong movement is usually the reason.

    That's my experience.

Otherwise I read about Contochondritis as well, which is the most common cause of sternum pain . This occurs when the cartilage that connects your ribs to your sternum becomes inflamed. Symptoms of costochondritis include: sharp pains or aches on the side of your sternum area.

Miss_Dada thank you got your input 😊 I guess it’s better to visit a traumatologist. The pain is preventing me from doing advanced exercises and it doesn’t seem like it’s healing itself. 😓
