    Back fist as biceps alternative

    In "30 days of gravity" it states that you can sub backfists for bicep curls. Reversing this statement, what else do backfists work? If I turn my torso, does it include abs? Or do you have to do, e.g., woodchops?

    Backfist as in a punch? Can you link me to where it says that?

      It says option substitute bicep curls for backlists.

      Backfists is just a punching exercise, and just like any other punching exercise, you're using your lats, hips, and total body power for the movement. Not much ab work there.

      Perhaps the point is just to make the exercise harder and turn it into a cardio movement to muscle building.

        PantherX thanks a lot! And, since you seem to know quite a lot about M.A. techniques, can you please tell me how to do the backfists? I mean, do I need to imagine someone comes from behind and I punch with my knuckles, or just someone in front of me, just that I go from the side with my knuckles?
