It would help to know what you are doing for exercise and nutrition. If you are doing lots of cardio and have a calorie deficit then you are going to lose muscle.

I do about 3 hours of boxing a week and the rest is calisthenics, as far as diet goes I am not doing anything extreme just trying to make healthier choices with no restrictions.

I agree with Hellyeah; protein is very important to building and maintaining muscle. Too little, and you’ll get stronger very slowly and maintain with difficulty. The body needs protein for muscle period.
Minor loss of strength (i.e. bench press going down from 150lb to 135lb) is normal when on a calorie deficit. Just make sure you eat 1gram of protein per pound of body weight per day when building muscle and strength and about .75gram when cutting weight.

in genreal if you are lossing wieght is normal lose maximal strenght, since the strenght is influnced by the weight in a linear way. Moreover, during a cut period, the performance are lower, i.e. one is not able to express all his&her potentialities.
