Well it seems it’s been updated now and the beans, chickpeas etc removed from the carbs column completely. That puts it back under the interpretation of one from each column, not that it counted for both columns.
Surprised they’re removed from the carbs column though...

The way I’ve always understood it is that you pick one item from each column and as many fruits/veg/berries as you can take.
So you can pick the beans portion from protein, then add the beans portion from carbs, then your fat and drink, plus the infinite items.
Then Bob’s your uncle you have your meal.

I think yes,i use it like that beans are high in carbs and protein but you have to look at your plate then half of plate is beans beacuse a quarter of plate is carbs, quarter protein but beacuse beans are both protein and carbs then you have half a plate beans and rest are vegetebles, fruti ,mushrooms berries etc i hope it helps

Modern hero meal plan dumb question...
Looking at the modern hero meal plan - https://darebee.com/mealplans/modern-hero.html
it says:
Note: Some items are present in both PROTEIN and CARBS columns because they are equally high in protein and carbohydrates. Add up both PROTEIN and CARBS amounts when you are using the same item from the two columns.Tags: None
