If i pick a program any program and do that program will that be enough cardio for heart health? I know the more intense programs provide more but just in general

This is basically impossible to answer. None of us know your medical history, your current/past exercise habits, your goals, etc.

This is best reviewed with your primary care provider.

    Good luck!

As long as it gets your heart rate up then yes. If your heart rate isn't getting up there then go faster or heavier or both (depending on the program)

i get where you are coming from but there are reccomendations from the American heart association and American council on exercise etc for cardio and I am asking if these programs meet those.

Keep in mind that overall weight loss and diet are huge factors, so no program will help if you follow it up by eating nothing but saturated fats, sugar, and salt. Aside from that, I wouldn't say any program, but if you pick the programs that specify a strong cardio element, you should at least see some improvements. I did 60 Days of Cardio, and other general fitness programs, and knocked 20 BPM off my resting heart rate. I don't know that I'd see the same improvements out of a program that specifically builds strength or flexibility, but the combat skill and the weight loss/streamline programs get your heart moving and should help.

acarpenter89 - True, but their recommendations are generally very vague. It is doubtful that every program would meet their recommendations for each person, but each person is different. Someone coming off injury or new to exercise will have different capabilities and capacities from an injury-free exercise veteran.

              Good luck with your decision!
