    Kettlebell Gauntlet clarification

For anyone doing the Gauntlet Kettlebell program, for a rep scheme like 4 sets bent over rows reps (10, 8, 8, 6) is the rep scheme 10, 8, 8, 6 per set (I.e 32 reps per set) or set 1 at 10 reps, set 2 for 8 reps, etc?

Did the first two days at the first rep scheme and they were...very challenging so I wanted to double check !

    You were overachieving

The second scheme is the one you should do...

Each number is a different set.

Also, if you were doing 32 reps for each set, you probably need a heavier one, hahaha.

Thank you both! JMed you’re probably right...I’ve been managing with a mix of dumbbells and kettlebells at home, and my weight jump is Tom 15lbs to 35lbs. Might make sense to alternate depending on upper or lower body.

        the program sounds much more
        manageable now!

          Good I am reading this I am 2 days into Gauntlet but also did: 4 x (10, 8, 8, 6 ) per exercise. 1 x (10) / 1 x (8) / 1 x (8) / 1 x (6) makes it a whole lot shorter. I only have 1 16KG kettlebell so can't go up or down on weight. Most exercises are do able but the benchmark 10 biceps curls with 16KG is a bit to heavy for me, I gues the Turkish getup also.

Squats / Lunches / Deatlifts / 1 arm bent over rows / 1 arm or 2 arm swings with 16KG no problem at all. So I can go up on weight on most exercies but for some exercises I must go down... Adjustable dumpbells are my solutions for exercies I can't do yet, if I like the program, do another round in the future I might buy a 24KG Kettlebell... First I must develop a feel for the exercises and find out if I can step up quickly or not.

For the ‘Full Get-ups’ on day 10, do you alternate arms for each rep? I don’t really do them often and it’s not very clear.
