    Hero's Journey and Total abs

Hello everyone, I love this site. It really keeps me motivated and active. I have a question though since I'm not good at combining programs, I never know which is the best combination for me. I run four days a week and I would like to see some changes for my upper body and to work more on my abs too. So I was thinking about starting Hero's Journey plus Total abs. What do you think? Is that a good combination? Other suggestions are welcomed too. Thank you.

It's a good combination of programs, especially if they inspire you
There is also Core Strength as an abs training program, between the two I prefer total abs, it is more varied and also more challenging

Hi Dia08 and Welcome to the Hive. Looks like a good combination. Just keep in mind that Total Abs has the regular 3-5-7 set rule and Hero's Journey has some 5-7-10 set days, weapons training days or 100 reps/excercise x 6 excercises, so you might run into some quite long workout days. If you don't have the time, start with HJ and maybe an ab-challenge like this

Fremen and Andi64 thank you very much for answering me. You are right about the time, it didn't cross my mind. Andi which one would be more effective, total abs or the challenge you mentioned? Thanks

Hmm, Total Abs has lower back- and march step- days, while the challenge is basically a ton of sit-ups, flutterkicks and looong planking ('split into managable sets' or don't), for 30-days with no break. I'd say the challenge is more challenging.
