Warmaker You have a point, although I honestly couldn't provide any information like that because it's been a LONG time since I've really played any sports and I haven't really done anything like that since I got back into shape and started exercising again. I also think that even though the information I gave might be a bit limited for a question like this, it was SOMETHING, enough to at least get some ideas to play around with. I do actually plan on giving basketball a shot first because I actually used to play it when I was a kid and I've had a lot of fun with it so far, and I'm confident that I will be able to work up to being good at even though I might not necessarily have the type of body of someone that would typically excel at the sport. Anyway though, I guess only time will tell.

I personally wouldn't worry about which sports that you will be good at. If you are really interested then you should get more out of the enjoyment of doing them. So if basketball is interesting and you like playing it, don't worry if you are not the best player.

I used to play pickup basketball everyday at lunch for about a year, and a lot of the players were not very good, but they showed up every day just to have a bit of fun in the middle of their work day.

CaptainCanuck Yeah, I'm mostly interested in playing a sport for fun, so I don't plan on taking anything too seriously or worrying all that much about whether or not I'm good at it. I was really only curious about what I might be good at more than anything. I'm confident that I will find something that I'm both good at and enjoy though luckily, and I think basketball looks like it might fit that bill, even if I'm not the first type of guy that would usually excel at it, because I feel like I have other strengths that will give me an edge.

I spent a lot of time at basketball as a younger person, and it comes down to a lot of skill versus a lot of natural abilities. Though as they say, you can't teach height.
