so im going to start exercising tomorrow and since i'm just starting i decided to begin with the foundation program. i also included the 4 minute warmup for warming up and the finish line workout for stretching afterwards. im asking if you guys have any recommendations for any challenges or addon programs i could add? if it can help narrow down your suggestions, i want to lose some weight and gain some muscle. thank you.

Welcome to the Hive dskrt Take it easy in the beginning.
Looks like you have a solid plan. Stick to it. After a week or two you see what the program is doing for you. If you feel underwhelmed add the Daily Dare. A common mistake is to want too much in the beginning. You start Foundation, so you have not worked out in a while/ever.
Find a sustainable routine so you can fit your workout into your daily schedule. Have a look in the Fitness section, there is a ton of interresting stuff, also info if you feel sore after a hard day. Gaining muscle/tone is relativly easy, esp. if you are young and male. Give your tendons and joints a chance to get the message too. They need time to adapt to your new lifestyle.

Loosing weight is a matter of caloric deficit (input kcals < output kcals, by at least 500kcal/day. Rule of thumb, everybody is different.). To get there you have to restrict your intake, because its pretty hard to work-out oneself into a serious caloric deficit, when one is overeating. It's a lot easier to save the time and eat less. "Loose weight in the kitchen, build muscle in the gym".

Building muscle also takes the right kind of food, have a look at the Nutrition section esp. the article on protein.
Give it time:" In 2 weeks you'll feel it, in 4 weeks you'll see it, in 8 weeks you'll hear it". Another oldie but goldie.
Good luck and all the best
