    Help picking a program

Hi y'all. I'd started out trying the Foundation, but found that the side jacks and similar exercises re-awoke my touchy left knee, a leftover from running cross country in high school. I'd appreciate some help picking out a series of exercises for getting back into proper shape that will be a bit easier on my knee, if y'all don't mind giving me some advice.

    Thanks,
    Sable

Hi and Welcome to the Hive Seylerius
Have a look at this article for your knee injury. There are an extra two workouts for bad knees in the database.

I found the modifications page helpful.

Thank you both! The Modifications page in particular seems to have some great ideas. It seems to be primarily the impacts that do it, so swapping to step jacks may be enough. As long as I'm moving smoothly, not impactfully, it works out pretty well.

Careful with lunges too. I replaced those with side lunges, which were better for my dodgy knee. If squats bother you pay close attentio to your form and consider wall squats, using a large exercise ball.
