Baseline: Difference between Torso Rotation and Hip Rotation.

As the title suggests, can't figure out the difference between the two. youtube didn't help.

eyeptir Hip rotations are like a hula hoop movement. You move the hips but the shoulders remain relatively immobile over your waist. Torso rotations you move your entire upper body. I hope this helps.

Still a little confused. They need to be added to video library.

Damer Thank you for this. I had the same confusion, too.
eyeptir My understanding is that in hip rotation you only rotate your pelvis and try not to allow what's above your waist to move along, although you still will. In torso rotation you will rotate your entire torso a lot.

I just tried and I didn't move a whole lot in hip rotation, but in torso rotation I could move like hell. I think it takes some practice. It's possible to move your pelvis independently, as is the case in moving it back and forth from an anterior tilt to a posterior tilt position.
