    Best time of day to train?

    So I've not put much effort in searching this Community and I figured it would be faster to just ask. I have regular job (9am - 5pm) Monday to Friday. I do most of my fun activities during the weekend. When is the best time of the day to train? P.S. I'm not a morning person, more of a night owl...

    The best time to train is the one at which you're most likely to continue with a routine. I don't know if there's any other answer and really it depends on what works for you. Some people can manage to keep at it without a set time day to day, others like me need it to be the same general time every day.
    I know I would benefit tremendously from exercise in the evening as a way to unwind from the day but my current schedule simply won't allow that with any regularity. My other option is first thing in the AM and I'm able to do that almost every day so that's what I do. It may or may not be optimal but it's the only realistic option so it's the "best" for me.

      The best time to train is when it suits your schedule best and when you know you'll be most hyped to do it. If you're a morning person and love to wake up early and can easily slot your workouts in then? Great! Do that! If you prefer to work out after work before you eat dinner? Also great! Just before you pass out? Also great!

      I prefer to work out after work in the wee hours of the morning (I work night shift), just because there are significantly less people around and there's something oddly poetic about that time of day so it appeals to me, but some people prefer different times and that's all them if that's what they like.
