    Beer Gut

My entire body is strong and fatless. I have no fat on my arms, upper back, or anywhere at all on my legs. Like you can't pinch hardly at all. My calves are pure iron. But, my belly...It looks like I swallowed a medicine ball. I am afraid this thing is going to kill me. Any suggestions greatly appreciated...<Oh, and I am a nondrinkder, so it's technically not a "beer" belly>

Fasting and eating less may shrink it or empty out some build-up you may have.

What duration for the fasting? Half a day? A day? Definitely going to focus on eating less. I figure if I fill up on leafy greens, that might be a good strategy with the diet.

From what i understand fat for guys stores first in the tummies. Its the first place you gain and one of the harder places to lose since its meant to be your reserves. https://www.scientificamerican.com/a...-deposit-on-t/ I'm sure there are better articles this was just first one that came up on google breaking it down and was something i stumbled across some time ago. intermittent-fasting as suggested by thin man would probably help with this type of issue there's a darebee article here, https://darebee.com/nutrition/interm...d-for-you.html

The other thing it might be is a food allergy or intollerance that causes you to bloat up or gas up. We had this super super lean guy back when I was taking kung fu but he was upset he was always fat with this "beer belly" he couldnt shake, It turned out he couldnt process wheat and blew up like a balloon after some toast or a sandwich. I have the same problem to and i'll go from flat stomach to "omg am i pregnant ff...." after a sandwich. If its food sensitivity you can try an elimination diet and have a check in the mirror before and after meals to see if theirs a difference eating certain things or talk to your doctor.

Eat twice a day, no junk, no snacks, mostly vegetarian and you find you start to clean out and the belly goes down. I usually eat at lunch time and late afternoon around 4:30pm.

Working the abs with weights makes them rock hard and pop out in bold relief.

          How I trained my abs was . . .

sit-ups, 2 sets of 30. hold a 30lb dumbbell with feet and a 35lb behind neck, knees can be slightly bent, sit up till upright, use control, no jerking.

leg raises, 2 sets of 30. with the same 30 lb dumbbell held with feet and a 50lb barbell plate on chest (so you don't tip up) lift the dumbbell, leg straight up to ceiling, hand under the butt, palms down.

The weight is what I used, you may want to start lighter. I noticed that when I did some Cross-Fit the younger guys struggled to do bod weight sit-ups without lifting the feet. You may want to make sure you are use to proper old school sit-ups before going heavy.

maybe your doctor can order you a DEXA scan and confirm if it is indeed too much visceral fat (high cardiovascular risk )
