    Alternative to Up and Down Planks

    Up and down planks really tear up my elbows, no matter what surface I do them on. Any suggestions for an alternative exercise? Thanks.

    The best I see is to do them "inclined" to put less weight in the elbows. For example, start with the wall. If it works, do them over a table, ...then use a bench (or a couch) before go back to the floor.

    I hope someone will give you a better answer.
