    I am a Teen 5’10 179lbs. What program should I do to gain mass and slim to get abs

      Maybe you can add some more informations about you? More information = better recommendations. Let me add some questions:

      - do you do regular sports?
      - if so, what kind of sports?
      - are you familiar with dumbbells?
      - what is your fitness level?


      This Site may help How to Pick a Programm. "Gain mass" and "get slim" dont fit very well together, these are two diffrent goals. First of all, i would recommend some of strength oriented progamms, like ironborn or strength protocol if you want more mass. Maybe you should go for mass first and after that for more muscle definition with a hit programm.

      PS: A more specific thread title would be good aswell.

        Goldbro what SimonB said is very sound advice. In addition to that I just like to point out that nutrition is the most important part in gaining mass. Training then determines how you mass is being put on. We have some interesting articles that dive into that topic if you're interested:

                I'm Agree.

                If you don't give any clue, the people who knows about this subjects, can't help you. Until you do it, I suggest you to have a tour in this section of the forum ("help"), and look for similar questions. Most of them are already answered, developped, and maybe will fit with your doubts. If not, you should be a bit more specific in your question(s). I'm quite sure the main answer will be related with your feeding habits more than the exercises to do.

                  So, what I meant was I do not have any access to equipment. I need to loose weight as I am now 200 pounds at 5’10 and 16 yrs old. I want to look better as well as being stronger in general. I do not like eating salad. I can’t eat it. But I am fine with anything else to eat. Any recommendations?

                    To lose weight:
                    Reduce your calorie intake, you can do that by eating less or by cutting sweets and stuff, like soda...
                    - Intake has to be below your use of calories...
                    - be sure to eat enough protein
                    You will find a lot of threads in the help desk on this topic...

                    Some options about exercises:
                    ​​​​​​As you are not used to do exercises, you could start with "The Foundation" program, to build a habit. After that, work yourself up the program ladder. As you haven't done much exercise until now, you will gain some muscles. The better you get, the more specified you have to be... But for now, just exercise to be healthy and have fun...

                      You don't really need equipment and to eat more vegetables you can start mixing them in your food. Like chopped broccoli in a bowl of rice and chicken (or meat supplements).

                        I'm 16 and I am also starting on this fitness journey, hehe.

                        I recommend doing The Foundation Program. It will show you the different types of exercise you can do without equipment and will start building up your strength, flexibility, endurance, speed, etc.

                        After that you will probably have a more clear view of what you need to improve on.

                        As for losing weight, you have to change your eating habits. But that can be slow. It's important to be slow and steady.
