    Question About Dumbbell Workouts

I am new to this so please forgive my lack of understanding.

Looking at the pic I attached, the first exercise- “4 sets alt bicep curls”

It says the reps for each arm are- 6,5,5,4

Here is my confusion- Ok so I get the 30 second rest between sets and 60 second rest between the individual exercise but is there a rest between the different numbers of reps?

Would I do 6 reps with my right arm then no rest and do 5, no rest then 5, no rest then 4? Why not just do 20 reps straight?

If there is rest between reps than how long is it?

Also, do I do all these reps with one arm then switch or alternate each rep like L-R 6 reps then L-R 5 reps and so on?

Thanks so much for any help everyone 😁

    It is like that:

1st set alternating curls: 6 times (1 left, 1 right) no rest betweeen the reps
    30 sec rest
2nd set alternating curls: 5 times (1 left, 1 right)
    30 sec rest
3rd set alternating curls: 5 times (1 left, 1 right)
    30 sec
4th set alternating curls: 4 times (1 left, 1 right)

2 min rest (that is what the picture says)

1st set upright rows: 8 times, no rest betweeen the reps
    30 sec rest
2nd set upright rows: 8 times (1 left, 1 right)
    30 sec rest
3rd set upright rows: 6 times (1 left, 1 right)
    30 sec
4th set upright rows: 5 times (1 left, 1 right)

    2 min rest

    3rd exercise...
