    Abs question

    I just read this: http://darebee.com/fitness/how-to-ge...the-belly.html

    I have some extra fat on the belly and I was doing HIIT + Total Abs to get rid of it..
    But the article got me scared.. It mentions that having fat on the belly and doing a lot of ab work can make your belly even bigger.
    Should I worry about that? Should I quit the Total Abs program?

    You are building some muscles underneath that fat you are shedding. It may temporarily make your belly a tiny bit rounder but, as you shed the fat you will have abs to show instead of just being skinnyfat.

      Thank you rin! I don't want to be skinnyfat, I just don't want to overdo it with my abs and end up having a huge belly
      The article made me think I was having a wrong approach and not focusing where I should (cardio, full body workouts)

        Don't worry - as long as you pay attention to your eating everything should be fine.

        But also remember that fat loss does not depend on exercise but on nutrition. That is your training on it's own does nothing to your fat, so there's no wrong way to go about it either.

          Yea I have changed my eating habits so I can shed the extra fat without losing weight!

                    kim ... have you ever seen a protruding 6-pack?
                    You know the 6-pack ... that's muscular abs with no fat covering. (like my 1"+)
                    Sumo wrestlers and (American) Football linebackers have protruding, strong, bellies ... but no definition. Fat covering.
                    So ... work off the fat (no more cupcakes for YOU) and buff up the abs. No FEAR!
