    Long cross country solo

To take the test for a private pilot license in a helicopter you need, among other things, to demonstrate to your instructor's satisfaction that you can chart a course and draw up a flight plan that takes you to at least three different airports, for a total distance of at least 100 nautical miles, with one leg of the flight being at least 50 miles long. Then you have to fly this course with your instructor.

When your instructor is satisfied you know what you're doing you then have to fly the course alone.

Today I did my 100+ mile three-airport cross country solo.
