    Challenges tracking broken/different form usual?

Since today I've noticed that my X's on the challenges are gone. Those directly on the squares. But instead, there's a tracker underneath with tickable boxes next to the days, just like in the programs. I can't tick the squares directly any more and there's a faint white line next to the challenge, giving a weird gap in the layout. I'm using Firefox that was updated today as well as a userscript to make the browser work like I want.
Is it the same for anyone else with the challenges or is it an issue on my side?

I refreshed the pages of my currently running challenges and it's like you describe it. I have to say i'd like to have the old way back. It's ugly right now and probably not finished yet if it's a planned change. At least i hope so.

Thanks for letting me know, mavie. I agree, it looks unfinished. And it's confusing, because I don't immediately see where I am in the challenge. It's different with programs because of their structure, but ticking off boxes below the challenge doesn't work as well.

It changed for me too in the way you describe it. But right now, it changed again. The boxes to tick off blend in with the background. I didn't know they were there if it wasn't because I was already tracking down the progress. I had to put all the brightness up in my computer to see that there were numbers.

I think the old way was great and there wasn't any need to change it. Perhaps the team is testing something up?

I am not doing a lot of challenges, but I loved the red 'X's, it was an almost haptic feeling to cross out on a done day.
Sólveig The black ticks have now changed to red 'x's in the progress tracking area in the footer. Seems like there is some developing going on.

The boxes on the bottom have changed for me too and now can be crossed out. Still not the same feeling and still not as intuitive to follow. I'm waiting how it'll turn out.
Thanks for your confirmations, Sólveig and Andi64.

Unfortunately, the change was forced on us due to the device compatibility issues. Only about 60% of people actually got to use the functionality properly when the rest couldn't even access the challenges at all especially on older mobile devices. In the end, we had to come up with a compromise. We still have a way to track progress but yeah, it's not as satisfying as before. We will make the new boxes darker (I just added it to our to-do) so they are more visible.

              I hope this helps!

neilarey Oh, so that's why whenever I opened a challenge on my phone the margins were all weird. That actually explains a lot.

The Progress Tracking underneath, however, it still blends in with the background. I had to lift the laptop and tilt it to see the numbers. Hope this gets fixed. I'm not sure if anyone else has this problem.

                  Sólveig how about now?

That's extremely regrettable. The tracking like it's now is unclear/confusing, because you need to scroll down, check on which day you are, scroll back up, look which box corresponds with the day, cross your fingers that you haven't forgotten the day already (that's a me-issue) and so on. As I said, it works with the programs where every day is one page, but is clunky with the challenges. I understand the reasoning, but wouldn't it be possible to do both? Checkboxes on the graphic for working devices coupled with those below for the older ones?
Thanks for taking the time to reply and explain, btw. Much appreciated.

neilarey It's is readable now, and the difference is quite noticeable

neilarey Maybe using a fixed 5x6 structure in the web version would deliver a bit more orientation.

That sounds like a good compromise
