neilarey:
I had a thought just before bed (aren't those fun?) that spawned into something pretty big, actually. I've no idea if it's possible or something people would like, of even if it's already been proposed before. But I thought I'd put it out there and get some opinions.
It's contactless tag! "Register" at least 3 days, perhaps up to a week beforehand to acknowledge desire to play. Admins choose groups of people (10-20? maybe see how many want to join and make equal groups?), with someone chosen randomly to be the first "It".
Dice rolls for probability, 10 high knees to roll the dice. 1-6 is another roll, so another 10 high knees, 7-12 chooses the next "It".
There's a time limit on the next chosen (20 or 30 minutes?), and the current "It" can choose again at no penalty if their choice is unavailable.
Just like in the snow fight, you can only choose 1 person so many times in the course of a day (5-10). It could run for a week or so?
I was thinking a spreadsheet like for the ornaments to show each group. New people can be added as they join, even after the event has started.
Is it at all feasible? Would my fellow bees be interested? Maybe something around spring?
