I can confirm, that Darebee has (had?) challenges where participants are assigned a random workout (Random Workout Challenge) and there are many such unofficial threads in the Hive where participants challenge themselves and others. There is no pressure to participate or to complete a challenge - that's the spirit of the Hive as I understand it. If you can’t or don’t want to do a particular workout or exercise, you say “I’ll sit this one out” or “Can’t do this today/for the forseeable future” etc. Also, while experienced in sports, I don't think the Darebee Team has any "certificates" (meaning they are not certified trainers, at least not all of them), so I don't think that's a prerequisite for running a chat room.

Scaredandscarred has a point. Within The Hive we've worked really hard to establish a safe space where you each be as open as you possibly can. This is something that is extremely important to us and we take the trust everyone gives us extremely seriously. Having said that, the number of times we have had to actively intervene over the years are extremely few. You guys are amazing and your willingness to be open, welcoming to newcomers and helpful have made The Hive as successful as it is. The Darebee spirit of mutual respect and unreserved support of each other is something we all feel and I would think that it is unlikely for things to spin out of control just because you interact somewhere else. Even more important, as Bees, you would be more than just understanding and able to support each other in a way that creates zero pressure even in a competitive environment (and we do run the odd competition here with the armies of Light and Darkness each year where heh-heh some win and some lose, but we all have fun and, at the end, share cake equally ).

        Damer (gives you a five)

I feel like my concern is that if an outside spot (like Discord) feels unsafe, then it wouldn't be long before the Hive felt unsafe by extension, and that would be the name of that tune for me. I am very sorry I let my emotions explode but I feel very strongly about said safety factor and just the possibility of "being attacked" -- very loose interpretation -- by virtual dice dares from people who don't know the limits of others strikes fear in my heart. That's why I really felt I had to say that there should be an official chat room with a mod (like you) keeping an eye on us or no chat room at all. Trust has its limits, and I don't have much of it thanks to countless scars from real life.

For what I have seen so far this is more a community that supports rather than one that competes, so I wouldn't worry too much that it turns to unbridled competitive spirit

Scaredandscarred I understand. Hopefully, within this place we don't just offer a safe space but also a place where each of us can rebuild our self, heal and get stronger physically, emotionally and psychologically. All of this takes time and, as you rightly mentioned, trust. Bees are awesome people. I am truly humbled by the commitment, generosity and willingness to be vulnerable exhibited by everyone here. Your own presence and contributions here help others think, grown and change and, hopefully, we all, in small ways help you become stronger too.

Scaredandscarred I've been keeping an eye on things there, just out of concerned for our bees, and so far I have to say people have been respectful and thoughtful.
