Stand in a fighting stance with your guard up and sink into a slight crouch, dropping your rear shoulder. Drive up through your legs and rotate your hips as you swing your fist upward in a tight arc, palm facing you, as if punching under an opponent's chin - then bring it straight back to guard and load the other side. The power rides an elevator from the floor: legs first, hips second, and the fist just gets to take the credit.
Works: shoulders, biceps, obliques, quads
Breathing: Exhale sharply with each punch, inhale as you load the next one.
Common Mistakes: Punching with the arm alone while the legs and hips watch, dropping the other hand from guard mid-punch, and swinging a wide looping arc instead of a tight upward drive.
Make Easier: Skip the crouch and throw slower, smaller uppercuts from standing, or groove straight strikes first with Punches (Jab + Cross).
Make Harder: Sink into a deeper crouch and drive up faster, extend the rounds, or mix in Hooks to build full combinations.
