Get into a push-up position, then slide one hand forward and the other back, so your hands are offset by half a hand-length or more. Keeping your body in a straight line, lower your chest toward the floor and press back up, then switch the stagger and repeat. The uneven hand placement splits the load unevenly between your arms - each side gets its own workout, and your core has to referee the difference.
Works: chest, shoulders, triceps, core
Breathing: Inhale as you lower, exhale as you press back up.
Common Mistakes: Twisting the torso toward the trailing hand, letting the hips sag as the uneven load takes its toll, and always favoring the same stagger instead of switching sides evenly.
Make Easier: Reduce the stagger to a small offset, or build volume with even-handed Push-Ups first.
Make Harder: Slow the lowering phase to a 3-count and switch the stagger on every single rep, or move on to Push-Ups - Stacked to narrow the base at the other end too.
